About

Hi there ! My name is Lys, aka Wolvenlys. The day, I am a PhD student in geometry and computer science. And when the night falls, I take up my pencils and brush and draw.
I have always been an art kid, for as long as I can remember, paralelly from my scientific background. I am from the early 00', and not so suprisingly, my art trigger was when the first dark and gothic coded japanese animes went through my TV screen, and when I discovered the manga section of my library. As of today, it became my passion to draw badass creatures and characters, in an style that blends all the aestetics I love in colorful pieces yet with a touch of grunge and metal.
Since 2026, I took the step of opening my micro business, a thrilling experience through which I had the chance to meet amazing artists and friends and encourage the local creator community.

Terms of Service (ToS)

Foreword

My commissions are open to anyone, without any disctinction regarding their gender, nationality or age (*).
By commissioning me, you accept to support a hobbyist artist, which implies the first following:
• You leave space for some artistic liberty. Commissioning an artist is a work of two, where we build something from your vision and mine. This implies that I will do my best to respect your vision while using all my artistic expertise to make something that both of us could be proud of. I am not an AI: my goal is not to produce an exact replica of your character reference just in another pose, or in the style of someone else. For this reason, I would recommand to turn to other artists if you have no affinity with my art style, or have a tendendy to be very strict regarding accuracy to reference.• You engage yourself not to rush the artist. Art is not my main activity, and I only have a limited window of time to work on commissions (see sec. 2. Turnaround Time). Life can easily get in the way, meaning that my turnaround time can be unpredictable (can go up to three months). For mental health reasons, I don't accept clients that have a tendency to spam check-in messages anymore. The two points mentionned above are the most important points of my terms of service, that can guaranty a good experience for both you and me.
If you feel unsure about wether or not you feel concerned with them, please don't hesitate to reach out to me for more questions!
In any case, the detailed ToS is depicted in the section bellow.

1. Process

1.1 Discussion phase. The first step of the commission process is a discussion on your project. You can reach out to me via any of my socials, though I am usually more active on Instagram, where you might have the highest chance of quick response.
The amount of details and references needed is highly dependant on the type of commissions that you want.
I can also work with no official reference in the case of refsheet commissions, where we can discuss directly on your ideas to create your character.

1.2.1 Queue system. Your place in the queue is determined by the time payment is made, knowing that priority will always go to customers that already sent the full paiment. This means in other words that late payments or payment plans puts you down on the list, until full paiment has been made. Art trades go in the same category. Sketches can be exceptionally made for commissions that are not fully paid, but will remain on hold until full payment is sent.
Those details aside, my queue system works as the usuel queue way : first in, first out (exceptions can be discussed).

1.2.2 WIP and validation phases. A deadline will be provided at the time you commission me, taking into account both the complexity of the project and my current timetable. Delays may occur regarding the announced deadline, and if so, you will be updated. (see sec. 2. Turnaronud time)
WIP screenshots will be sent with a delay of at most two weeks between each update. Those will require your approval before moving on. At that time, any kind and number of modification (minor or major) can be asked. Please, don't hesitate to ask for them as soon as you notice something that you wish to change. Fees may apply for changes that contredicts something that was already validated.

1.2.3 Finished art The finished piece will be first sent to you via our discussion channel, usually in a lower quality. Last minutes changes can still be made in the same condition mentionned for above.
If approved, then the full resolution file will be sent via email.
The exact resolution may vary from one project to another depending on its format, but is always 300dpi.

2. Turnaround Time

It is to note that art is not my main activity, as I have a full time job aside that takes most of my time during weeks. For that reason, advancement is almost always made on week-ends, which correspond to the time I have the most time to work on commissions.Your commission progress can be tracked on Trello, but you have the right to check in for WIP or news. However, it is usually of no use to check too often since I do not have time to work until week-ends. Also, keep in mind that I am not a full-time artist and life can easily get in the way. As check-in messages can be stressful when it happens, I appreciate if you limit to one per two weeks. For the reasons cited above, commissions turnaround can vary from one week to two or three months, depending on the current queue, my personal schedule on that time, the type of your commissions and on the level of artistic freedom you give me.

3. Cancelling & refunds

A refund of 100% of the price can be asked in the case you have no news from me in a delay of three weeks after the last WIP, or in a delay of two month after the payment was sent. In this case, the refund can be asked without any regards to the current state of the commission, and shall be satisfied within a delay of two weeks.
The refund process instantly cancels the commission, and all the rights on all the work that may have been done until that time are kept by the artist. It is strictly forbidden to make use of shared WIP pictures it in any way.

4. Rights

In a general case, you are very free regarding the use of your commission, as long as you credit me (@wolvenlys). For commissions with further commercial use, please specify it beforehand to discuss about it and write a contract.
